In Kochi, the NIA court sentenced five activists of the banned Students Islamic Movements of India in the secret meeting of 2006. Two accused were sentenced for 14 years along with fine, while three others were sentenced for 12 years with fine under Indian Penal Code and Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
