<span style="color: #222222;">The Group of Twenty, or G-20, is the premier forum for international cooperation on the most important aspects of the international economic and financial agenda. It brings together the world’s major advanced and emerging economies. It is an intergovernmental forum comprising 19 countries and the European Union (EU). The group comprises Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, EU, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, UK and USA.<br />”<br />”G-20 brings together the worlds major economies, accounting for more than 80 per cent of global GDP, 75 per cent of global trade and 60 per cent of the global population. India is a founding member of G-20 and plays a proactive, positive and forward-looking role in it.<br />”<br />”Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the 16th G-20 Summit in Rome, Italy and the World Leaders Summit in Glasgow, UK. The Rome Summit is woven around the theme of people, planet and prosperity. This will be the 8th G-20 that Mr Modi will attend over the years. In the recent past, Prime Minister Modi attended the G-20 Extraordinary Leaders Summit on COVID-19 on 26th of March, last year. He also attended the Extraordinary Leaders Summit on Afghanistan on 12th October 2021. At the G-20 Rome Summit, Mr Modi will join other G-20 leaders in a discussion on the global economy and health recovery from the pandemic, sustainable development and climate change.</span><br />
