Knee injury keeps Sreesnath out of India-SL Test Series

S. Sreesanth has been ruled out of the India-Sri Lanka Cricket Test series, starting on 18th of this month at Galle, due to a knee injury. The Kerala paceman Sreesanth, who was asked to lead the pace attack in the absence of senior Zaheer Khan, had to miss yesterday's practice session after he suffered a medial collateral ligament tear in his left knee and has been declared unfit to play in the Tests. Zaheer has been ruled out of the Test series due to a shoulder injury.India will begin their tour of Sri Lanka with a three-day game against a host side in Colombo from tomorrow before the first Test.The second Test will commence in Colombo from July 26, while the third and final Test will also be played in the same venue from 3rd August.
