In Kolkata, election campaign has reached to its feverous pitch. Elections for 81 Municipalities, including the Kolkata Municipal Corporation will take place on next Sunday. <br/><br/>Top ranking political leader, including the Chief Minister Mr. Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, the Pradesh Congress Committee President and Union Finance Minister Mr. Pranab Mukherjee and the Trinamool Congress Chief and the Railway Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee are touring the different parts of the state for election campaign. <br/><br/>Over 85 lakh voters are elibible to cast their frenchise. More than ten thousand polling stations are being set-up. Besides State Police, 71 campaigning Central Para-Military force are being deployed to ensure free and fair voting. <br/>AIR Kolkata correspondent reports that the civic poll assumes significance in view of snapping of opposition alliance between Trinamool Congress and the Congress. <br/>
