In IPL cricket, Kolkata Knight Riders will begin their title defence on the home turf, the Eden Gardens, on the 8th of April. They will clash with Mumbai Indians, which will be the opening encounter of the eighth edition of the Indian Premier League. Sixty matches, including 4 play-offs, will be played in a period of 47 days. The final will also be held at the Eden Gardens on 24th May.
