KKR beats RR by eight wicket

Kolkata Knight Riders beat Rajasthan Royals by eight wickets in their IPL match in Kolkata today. Sourav Ganguly hammered an unbeaten 75 to guide Kolkata Knight Riders to an emphatic victory over Rajasthan Royals.Chetshwar Pujara gave him able support with an unbeaten 45 runs on 38 balls. The duo shared run-a-ball 80-run partnership for the unfinished third wicket.Earlier, electing to bat, Rajasthan Royals scored 132 for nine with Shane Watson top-scoring with 44 runs on a 26-ball.After today's win, KKR still have an outside chance to qualify for the semifinals. Whereas, with today's loss, Rajasthan Royals ended their hopes of making it to the semifinals.Earlier in another IPL encounter at Bangalore, Mumbai Indians defeated Royal Challengers by 57 runs. Set to score 192 for a win, Royal Challengers managed to make only 139 for nine in their 20 overs. Earlier, put in to bat, Mumbai made 191 for four.The match started one hour late due to a minor explosion in the vicinity of the stadium.Bangalore have finished with 14 points, after completing all their leagues matches. Bangalore now await the completion of the league phase of the tournament to know about their semi-final chances.
