The government will hold a high level meeting soon in view of rising incidents of violence against people from north-eastern states. Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju told this to reporters in Gurgoan today after meeting three youths from Nagaland who were assaulted by locals there.
Mr Rijiju said, government has taken serious note of the matter and action will be taken in each case against such crimes. The Minister said, the Centre is well aware of the situation and such incidents should not affect the unity of the country. Mr Rijiju said, three people have already been arrested in the Gurgaon attack case and police is looking out for two more involved in the case.
Three youths from Nagaland were thrashed and injured allegedly by eight persons in Gurgaon on Wednesday night, for refusing to have drinks with the attackers.
