Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju today inaugurated a national conference on Uniformed Women in Prison Administration in New Delhi. The two day Conference has been organised by the Bureau of Police Research and Development for women officers of the rank of Jailors to Deputy Superintendents of Prisons.<br/><br/>More than 90 delegates from 25 States and union territories, representatives from various NGOs working in the field of prison reforms and universities and academia are attending the conference.<br/><br/>They will share their problems, ideas and experiences in connection with their day-to- day work in prisons as well as dealing with prison inmates.<br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rijiju said, he looked forward to the resolutions of the Conference and assured that the Home Ministry will make efforts in their implementation.
