Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Kiran Kumar Reddy declared the name of the party to be launched by him, as “Jai Samaikyandhra”.
Talking to mediapersons in Hyderabad on Monday, Kiran Reddy said, his political outfit symbolizes his stand in favour of united Andhra Pradesh.
Reddy also said, he is floating a new party to protect the interests of Telugu-speaking people.
The former chief minister accused the Telugu Desam party of maintaining double standards on state division issue and alleged that its president Chandra babu Naidu alone is responsible for state bifurcation.
The former chief minister expressed concern that there would be power and water shortage in both Telangana and Seemandhra due to division.
AIR Correspondent reports that Kiran Reddy is set to launch his political party at a public meeting at Rajmundry in residuary Andhra Pradesh day after tomorrow.
Reddy resigned from the post of Chief Minister and congress party on February 19th, protesting the state's division.
