The Kings XI Punjab, co-owned by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia and Mohit Burman, got an interim relief after the Bombay High Court stayed the termination of their IPL contract till a new independent arbitrator heard both the parties and passed an order. The franchise would however have to satisfy certain conditions, including retaining the shareholding pattern and paying the BCCI a security for player fees. The Court said that prima facie Kings XI has a very strong case. The court's decision came after hearing the BCCI's arguments on why Kings XI and the Rajasthan Royals were terminated.
