Kingfisher top brass appear before DGCA to explain cancellations

The top brass of cash strapped Kingfisher airlines today appeared before the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, DGCA, to explain large scale flight disruptions. The DGCA had asked the airline CEO to meet them today to explain the reasons behind the disruption of flights. It decided to take action against the airline as aviation rules demand operators take prior approval of the authority before curtailing flight schedules. Meanwhile, the government has ruled out any bailout for the Kingfisher airlines. The Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh said that government is not going to ask public sector banks to bailout any private carrier.
