The top brass of cash strapped Kingfisher airlines today appeared before the Directorate General Civil Aviation, DGCA, to explain large scale flight disruptions. The DGCA had asked the airline CEO to meet them today to explain the reasons behind the disruption of flights. It decided to take action against the airline as aviation rules demand the operators take prior approval of the authority before curtailing flight schedules. Our correspondent reports that disruptions in the operations of Kingfisher airlines continued for the fourth consecutive day today with cancellation of 23 more flights. 15 departures from Mumbai and 8 flights from Bangalore have been already cancelled Meanwhile, the government has ruled out any bailout for the Kingfisher airlines.The Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh said that the government is not going to ask public sector banks to bailout any private carrier.
