King Philippe of Belgium will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today. He will also call on President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhawan.<br/><br/>King Philippe and Queen Mathilde arrived in New Delhi on Sunday on a seven-day visit to India. They visited the Taj Mahal in Agra yesterday.<br/>'<br/>The Royal couple is accompanied by six ministers and a high powered business delegation, comprising of CEOs of 86 Belgian companies, 13 Chiefs of academic institutions and 29 members from media.<br/>'<br/>During the visit, King Philippe will also attend the India-Belgium business forum. The visit aims to further strengthen the historical strong ties between the two countries. Belgium was among the first European countries to establish a diplomatic mission in India after Independence.<br/><br/>This is King Philippe's first visit to India following his ascension to the throne in 2013.
