In Assam, the Andhra Pradesh-based project engineer working with a private construction company, P Krishna Rao who was kidnapped by suspected NDFB militants has been released today. Police said Rao was released by his abductors at Garigaon area, about 18 kilometres from Kokrajhar town. He is stated to be in a good condition.<br/>Police have taken him away to an undisclosed location. Rao, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, is an engineer with Gayatri Construction Company and was kidnapped by suspected anti-talk faction NDFB militants from a project site at Kokrajhar on the 16th of last month. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah had also intervened on the matter and requested his Assam counterpart Tarun Gogoi to ensure the engineer’s safe release.<br/>
