In Badminton, Kidambi Srikanth has stormed into the finals of the India Open, after prevailing in a three-game thriller in the men's singles competition today.

He eked out a 14-21 21-16 21-19 triumph over China's Huang yuxiang in the semi-final.

In the final, Srikanth will face either his compatriot Parupalli Kashyap or second seed Viktor Axelsen of Denmark.

In the women's singles semi-final, P V Sindhu lost to He Bingjiao of China 23-21, 21-18.
