In the Asian 20 kilometer Walking Championship in Nomi, Japan today, Khusbir Kaur set a new national record in women's section, with a timing of 1 hour 33 minutes and 37 seconds. Gurmeet Singh in men's section also impressed, clocking 1 hour 21 minutes 30 seconds. Both Khusbir and Gurmeet finished third in respective categories. Six Indian athletes were in the fray in the event.
