External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid says that no issue concerning Indo-Pak relations was raised with Pakistan Prime Minister Raja Parvez Ashraf's visit to the shrine of sufi saint, Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chisti at Ajmer yesterday. Talking to reporters, Salman Khurshid said since it was a private visit and pilgrimage for Ashraf it was not the occasion to hold any discussion with him. He said India has been raising such issues with Pakistan earlier and will continue to do so in future.
Pakistan Prime Minister offered a 42 metre Chadar at the Mazar. He was extended all diplomatic courtesies during his visit. He returned to Pakistan in the evening.
Ashraf was accompanied by his wife and 20 others, mostly his relations.
In his impressions written in visitor's book the Pakistan Prime Minister said that he prayed for peace in the world.
Reacting to the visit, the Congress Spokesperson Rashid Alvi said that extending courtesies is a part of India's culture.
BJP Leader Yashwant Sinha said it is proper to extend only the diplomatic courtesies to the Pakistan Prime Minister.
