A high level delegation led by Salman Khurshid, Union Minister for Law and Justice represented India at the funeral ceremony of assassinated former Afghan President Burhanuddin Rabbani in Kabul on Saturday. The delegation offered Fateha prayers for the departed leader. Professor Rabbani, chairman High Peace Council was killed in a suicide bomb attack at his home in Kabul on Tuesday. The delegation also called on Afghan President Hamid Karzai and expressed solidarity with the people and the government of Afghanistan in their hour of grief. Mr. Khurshid also met Salahuddin Rabbani, son of late Prof. Rabbani and conveyed condolences to the bereaved family.
