Minister of Law and Justice, Salman Khurshid today expressed concerned over the fact that several laws in the country are in the state of semi-redundancy.

Replying to a question in the Lok Sabha today, he said some laws are neither in public knowledge nor they are being used.

He supported the idea of Congress member Manish Tiwari that laws should be made for specified time. Mr. Khursheed said that the government has repealed 415 laws and 17 laws are in the various stages of repealing.
