In the third Khelo India Youth Games in Guwahati, Karnataka continues to lead in swimming. The state won 17 medals including 10 golds so far in swimming. Maharashtra is leading the overall medal tally with 49 gold and 49 silver medals.
Harayana is following with 40 gold and 37 silver medals.
Country's new swimming sensation from Karnataka Srihari Natraj won gold in 100-metre backstroke. This is his 14th gold in Khelo India. Natraj now aims to qualify for the Tokyo Olympic.
Assam girl Shivangi Sarma and Karnataka's Khusi Dinesh won three golds each in swimming. Shivangi clinched gold today in 400- metre freestyle in Under-21 and Khusi got the yellow metal in Under- 17 category. Delhi boy Tanmay Das clinched gold in 100-metre backstroke in Under-17 category.
Assam boy Sanjio and Abhikhar grabbed the title in Boys doubles in Lawn Bowls. In Shooting, Harayana's Kiran won gold in girls Trap event in shooting in her second Khelo India games. Uttar Pradesh won the title in mix event of 10-Metre air pistol.
