Kharif season agri produce MSP raised

The government has substantially raised the Minimum Support Price of agricultural produce for the Kharif season.

The minimum Support price- MSP – of oilseeds and pulses has been raised sharply by 37 per cent. MSP of paddy has gone up by about 16 per cent.

Announcing the decision of the Cabinet Committee of Economic Affairs, CCEA, Home Minister P Chidambaram said that the MSP has been revised on the suggestion of Commission for Agriculture Costs and Prices.
