Congress party leader in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge today, terming yesterday's Mumbai stampede on a foot over bridge at Elphinstone railway station as 'massacre', demanded the resignation of Railway Minister Piyush Goyal.<br/><br/>Addressing a press conference in Kalaburagi, Mr Kharge alleged that the incident is a public massacre for which the government and railways are responsible.<br/> <br/>At least 22 people were killed and over 30 injured in the rush hour stampede on a narrow foot overbridge linking Elphinstone Road and Parel suburban stations during heavy rain.<br/> <br/>Mr. Kharge, who is also a former Railway Minister, demanded a magisterial probe in to the tragic incident.
