Khaleda Zia has been reelected chairperson of the BNP unopposed as there was no other candidate for the post.<br/><br/>BNP leader TH Khan, who acted as the chief election commissioner for the party’s election declared that Khaleda Zia has been elected as chairperson for three years. Khaleda submitted her nomination papers on Wednesday which was the last day for filing nominations.<br/><br/>With no other candidate submitting their nominations, Khaleda’s papers were scruitinised on Decemeber 3rd and the announcement of her election was announced on Friday.<br/><br/>The party’s fifth National Council is scheduled to be held in December 8th when her election will be formally approved by the party.
