Khagaria carnage: Bihar govt. suspends SP, SDPO

Bihar Government has suspended Khagaria Superintendent of Police Indranand Mishra and Sub-Divisional Police Officer Ajay Kumar Pandey for dereliction of duty and failure to reach carnage site immediately after the incident. Ms. Ansuya Ransingh has been made new Superintendent of Police of Khagaria. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar directed Home Commissioner Amir Suhani to set up a police outpost at Amousi-Icharwa under Markahi police station in Khagaria, where 16 persons were massacred by Maoists on Thursday night. Chief Minister also directed to ensure full proof security to Paro Singh, the lone survivor of the carnage.<br/>
