In Pakistan, a key partner in the ruling coalition has pulled out of the government after one of its cabinet ministers was fired. Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) leader Fazal-ur-Rehman announced the immediate resignation of two of the party's ministers during a press conference on Tuesday. The decision comes after Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani fired two ministers, including one from JUI-F, for publicly trading accusations of corruption related to a scandal involving Pakistani pilgrimages to Saudi Arabia arranged by the government.
