Key domestic indices end with marginal gains

The key domestic indices ended with marginal gains on Tuesday. The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed near the 62,000 mark while the Nifty at the National Stock Exchange settled near 18,350 level. Both indices rose amid mixed cues from global share markets.
 
The Sensex gained 18 points to finish at 61,982. The Nifty also appreciated 34 points to end at 18,348.
 
In the forex market, the rupee closed at 82 rupees and 80 paise against the US dollar.
 
Gold prices, at Multi Commodity Exchange for June contracts, were trading at around 59,850 rupees per 10 gram. On the other hand, silver was trading at 71,430 rupees per kilogram for July Contracts when reports last came in.

Oil rose more than one percent in intra-day trade. Brent crude was trading at 76 dollars and 90 cents a barrel
