The Giridih District Police of Jharkhand has arrested the Secretary of Central Sub Zonal Committee of the CPI (Maoist) Ranveer da alias Mantu along with his two accomplices, which includes a lady companion Martha Soren. The other arrested is Suresh Manjhi who was responsible of collecting levies (illegal taxes). Arrested Maoist Ranveer da was involved in 107 incidents of violence in Bihar and Jharkhand and he had rewards of lakhs of rupees on him by different state police, the total amount is not known yet. According to the SP of Giridih Amol Venukant Homekar, the District Police along with the CRPF was undertaking a campaign against the Maoists when it got information and based on that the Maoists were arrested from Kanadih village under Dumri police station.
