Former Gujarat Chief Minister and Senior BJP leader Keshubhai Patel has resigned from the party. Announcing this at his Gandhinagar residence, Patel said that he has sent his resignation to party president Nitin Gadkari.
The 84 years old senior most leader of BJP said that he had worked for party for many years and never looked for power. He also indicated to launch new political party tomorrow. Another senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Kashiram Rana has also resigned from the party.
AIR Ahmedabad Correspondent reports that Keshubhai Patel, a key figure in the Gujarat BJP was very critical of Chief Minister Narendra Modi and recently addressed series of public meetings in the state to oust the Narendra Modi Government.
