Efforts are on to rescue a youth, who fell down a steep hill and precariously perched in a cavity of the rock in Kerala's Palakkad district.<br />'' <br />'' The youth along with three friends went trekking at Cherad Hills in Malampuzha forests yesterday, when he accidentally slipped and fell down the steep hill.<br />'' <br />'' The incident came to light when his friends returned and reported the matter to the authorities.<br />'' <br />'' The place is very remote and the hilltop could be reached only after nearly a four-hour trek.<br />'' <br />'' A Coast Guard helicopter from Kochi was sent to the area in an attempt to airlift the youth but could do little due to heavy winds in the region.<br />'' <br />'' The Palakkad district authorities have also sought the help of NDRF and mountaineers in the rescue effort. <br />''
