Kerala witness dip in COVID-19 numbers with 2,748 positive cases, 33 deaths

<span style="color: #222222;">Kerala witnessed a considerable dip in covid figures as it confirmed 2,748  new COVID-19 positive cases today.  The test positivity rate is 6.01 percent at present.  33 deaths were also confirmed due to COVID today, taking the total death toll to 45,155. Bringing respite, 3,202  recoveries were also reported today. At present, over 30,000 people are undergoing covid treatment in the state.  <br />''<br />''Meanwhile, State Health Minister Veena George said that the covid vaccination rate in the state has crossed 75 percent. This includes both the first and second doses of the covid vaccine.  97.38% of the total population eligible for the first dose has received the first dose and 75% has been given the second dose. This is well above the national average. The Health Minister also urged everyone to be vigilant in the wake of Omicron confirmation in the state. There are presently 15 cases of Omicron infection in Kerala.</span><br />
