In Kerala, Thousands of Ayyappa devotees, in the famous temple, Sabarimala will witness 'Makaravilakku' today. On the day of Makaravilakku which falls on Makar Sankranti day, it is believed that Lord Ayyappa asserts himself as a holy light  to bless his devotees. The Makarasamkrama Pooja will take place today. Around 1.5 lakh devotees are expected to take part in the ceremony and witness Makara jyothi, the holy light.<br />''<br />''<br />
