In Kerala, ahead of the local body poll scheduled on the 23rd and 25th of this month, the State Election Commission has iedntified 3,218 polling booths as sensitive. In an affidavit submitted before the Kerala High Court, the Commission said of these, 1345 are in Kannur, 442 in Ernakulam and 396 in Kozhikode districts. The Commission said adequate security measures have been taken to ensure free and fair polls.
