In Kerala, the BJP State Vice President and the party candidate in the Thiruvananthapuram Assembly constituency, B K Sekhar died in a private hospital in Kochi Wednesday afternoon. He was 51. Hospital sources said he was diagnosed with liver cancer and was undergoing treatment for the past one week. Sekhar, who was the party spokesman for several years, had actively participated in the electioneering, but was hospitalised towards the fag end of the campaign.
