Kerala reports more recoveries than new COVID cases

<span style="color: #222222;">Bringing great relief, Kerala reported more recoveries than new COVID cases today, after a long time. As the state confirmed 885 new COVID cases today, 968 persons recovered from the disease. Among the fresh cases 724 persons got the disease through contact. The state also confirmed four more deaths due to COVID taking the death toll to 54. Thiruvananthapuram continues to report highest number of COVID cases. Presently, the total active cases in Kerala is 9,371.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the first line COVID Care Centres are being expanded  across the state and over 25,000 COVID tests are being conducted in the state daily. Mr Vijayan said that a special action plan will be made to contain the super spread of virus. He further said in the All-Party meeting being held today, the leaders from all political parties extended their full support in the State's COVID battle and the majority leaders expressed the necessity to strengthen the present restrictions in the COVID clusters and was not favoring a complete lockdown in the state presently.</span><br />''

Kerala reports more recoveries than new COVID cases

<span style="color: #222222;">Kerala reported more recoveries than new COVID cases today. AIR correspondent reports that State Health Minister K. K. Shailaja informed in an official press release that  160 new Covid  cases were confirmed  and 202 people  recovered from the disease today. This is the highest number of Covid  recoveries recorded in the state in in a day . </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Among the new  positive cases, 106 persons are returnees from abroad while 40 people came from other states. 14 persons contracted the disease through contact .Presently there are 2,088 active covid cases in the State. 2638 persons had recovered from the disease so far in Kerala. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />''
