Kerala continued to report a surge in COVID cases as 28,514 new cases were confirmed today. The test positivity rate is at 22.63 per cent. In all, 45,400 recoveries were also reported and 176 deaths due to COVID was confirmed today taking the death toll to 7,170. The worst-hit Malappuram district where triple lockdown is imposed,&nbsp; will be completely closed down tomorrow. Even shops selling essentials won't be allowed to open.
