Kerala reports 2,406 new Covid-19 cases

Kerala confirmed 2,406 new Covid-19 cases today. This was stated by Chief  Minister Pinarayi Vijayan while briefing media after Covid evaluation meeting. 2067 recoveries and ten Covid deaths were also confirmed today.<br />'' <br />''Out of the new cases 2,175 were infected through contact and source of 193 cases was unknown. 47 health workers were also tested Covid positive today. <br />'' <br />''Thiruvananthapuram reported the highest number of 352 covid cases. At present there are 22,673 active Covid cases in Kerala.<br />'' <br />''A total of 43,761 people have recovered so far. The Covid  death toll in the State is 267 now.<br />'' <br />''Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that Kerala is going through a critical phase in the fight against Covid-19.<br />'' <br />''With the cooperation of people of the state and effective functioning of the Government machinery, the state has reduced the spread of the virus as well as the fatality rate.<br />'' <br />''Minimising the number of deaths due to Covid-19 is the priority of the Government.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Taking the Corona virus threat lightly would invite dangerous consequences , the Chief Minister cautioned.</span><br />
