In Kerala, the red alert issued for Idukki dam has been revised to orange following a slight dip in the water level. The dam authorities in Idukki have closed two of the three shutters of the Cheruthoni dam, through which water was released from the Idukki reservoir since Tuesday last. The decision to close the shutters was taken this afternoon in view of the declining water level in the reservoir.
