Many parts of Kerala received intermittent heavy rain this morning. In Palakkad, three spillway shutters of the Kanjirapuzha dam were raised 60 cm each, following which the district authorities have asked those living along the banks of Kanjirapuzha, Kunthipuzha, Thoothapuzha, and Bharatapuzha to remain alert. Damage to houses and agricultural crops has been reported at Nadathara and Cherppu in Thrissur due to strong winds.
