In Kerala, the Chief Election Commissioner S Y Qureshi along with other members of the commission reviewed security and overall preparedness of next month's assembly election. The commission also held detailed interaction with representatives of political parties from the state.AIR correspondent reports, while opposition party members urged the Chief election commission to deploy central forces during election in Kerala, the ruling party members told the commission that there is no need for such deployment. The commission is scheduled to hold meeting with state DGP on security and DG, Income tax on election expenditure monitoring system on Friday. Notification for the poll will be issued on Saturday and 26th of this month is the last day for filing nomination. Meanwhile, the decision of CPIM to deny ticket to Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan led to protest marches in different parts of the state on Thursday also.
