<span style="color: #222222;">In Kerala, one person was killed and 16 others injured when crackers meant for the Puthiyakavu temple festival at Tripunithura near Kochi exploded this morning. The crackers,  transported in a vehicle were being shifted to a building for storage, when the mishap took place. The condition of four is said to be serious and they have been admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital at Kalamassery and to the  Ernakulam General Hospital. The vehicle transporting the crackers and the building were completely damaged in the explosion. Over 20 buildings in the vicinity were damaged in the blast. The district authorities said no license was obtained for storing the crackers.</span><br />
