In Kerala, a magistrate's court in Aluva today remanded Soofia Madani, wife of People's Democratic Party Chairman Abdul Nasar Madani, to 14 days judicial custody in connection with the torching of a Tamil Nadu Road Transport Corporation bus in 2005.<br/><br/>The court dismissed a bail application moved by her. Later, she was taken to Ernakulam sub-jail.<br/><br/>Soofia was arrested in Kochi last evening, shortly after the Kerala High Court rejected her anticipatory bail plea. She is accused of having close links with the extremist elements who torched the bus, including Thadiyantevide Nazir, a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist, who was recently arrested in Bangladesh.
