Kerala likely to receive isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall, warns IMD

<span style="color: #222222;">The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that Kerala is likely to receive  isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over the weekend due to the effect of cyclone Gaja.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">As the cyclone is continuing to move westwards, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the Arabian Sea along and off the Kerala coast. Fishermen have also been warned to keep off the south-east Arabian Sea and Lakshadweep areas tomorrow and the day after.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall occurred  yesterday in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki.  As per weather office, strong winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph and gusting to 50 kmph is very likely over parts of  Kerala, southeast Arabian Sea along and off the Kerala coast and Kanyakumari area.</span><br />
