Kerala have lifted their sixth Santosh Trophy Football title. In a thriilling final at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata today, they beat defending champions and 32-time winners Bengal 4-2 via penalties.

Earlier, the teams were level One-One after the 90-minute regulation period and 2-2 at the end of the thirty-minute extra-time.

Kerala have not won the trophy since 2005 and lost on penalties to Services in the final five years ago at home in Kochi.
