Kerala legislative assembly session begins on Monday

Kerala legislative assembly session begins tomorrow. The second session of the thirteenth legislature will be meeting for twenty five days till 3rd of November. Budget discussion for the fiscal 2011-12 and related government business are the main agenda of this session.AIR correspondent reports, Kerala assembly is very likely to witness extremely stormy session during the next twenty five days from Monday. The on-going controversy related to palmolein import case investigation against Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and subsequent request by the special judge to Kerala High Court to transfer the case to another court can create uproarious scenes in the assembly. While the UDF government is all set to highlight its 100 day achievements and transparency in administration, LDF led opposition is sure to attack Oommen Chandy government on price hike, growing number of death cases due to different types of fever and other issues. Either way, the speaker of the house will have a tough time to ensure smooth functioning of the assembly.
