In Kerala, the opposition LDF has severely criticised the new budget presented by Finance Minister K M Mani today. Both opposition leader V S Achuthanandan and former Finance Minister Dr Thomas Issac described the revised budget for 2011-12 as aimless and conventional. Interestingly some members of the ruling UDF also criticised the budget saying it is highly focussed on Kottayam belt and ignores development of coastal and northern parts of Kerala. They have approached KPCC with the allegation.
