Kerala Chief Minister Mr V S Achuthandhan has flagged off eight state of the art low floor buses purchased under the central flagship scheme Jawaharlal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission, JNNURM in Thiruvanathapuram today. The air conditioned bus offers comfortable and safe journey at affordable price. In the near future similar buses will be put into service in other important cities of the state also. Minister of state for External Affairs Mr Shashi Tharoor and several state ministers attended the flagging off ceremony.
