Kerala imposes new covid restriction, reports 18,257 new COVID19 cases

<span style="color: #222222;">Kerala imposes new covid restriction as the State records its highest single-day surge today with 18,257 new covid cases. AIR correspondent reports  that RT- PCR test made compulsory for people coming to Kerala from other States.</span><br />''<br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The test need to done 48 hours prior to the travel and  is mandatory even if the person is vaccinated. 14 days of  room isolation is compulsory for those who had not taken the RTPCR test. Everyone travelling to Kerala from other parts of the country and from abroad need to register in the Covid Jagratha portal. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile on account of worsening covid scenario in the State,  all the university exams scheduled to be held from tomorrow is postponed and the authorities had informed that the new dates will be announced later.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The entire State is presently under strict Covid restrictions. Over one lakh 8000 samples were tested  in the last 24 hours.The test positivity rate is 16.77.Meanwhile twenty five more  death was  confirmed due to Covid today, taking the death toll to  4929. There are presently  93,686 active Covid cases in Kerala.</span><br />''  <br />
