The Kerala Home Minister T. Radhakrishnan has said that the state government would not take over the management of sri Padmanabhaswamy temple . He said that the government's job is to provide security to the temple and that the state will do with utmost earnestness. The temple was in the news after priceless treasures were unearthed from jits vaults in July last year. Currently the temple affairs are being looked after by an executive committee consisting of temple management and representatives of gthe royal family of Travancore.
