<span style="color: #222222;">The Kerala High Court today temporarily stayed the judicial inquiry ordered by the state government to examine the alleged attempt by the Enforcement Directorate and other central agencies  to implicate Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the gold smuggling case. Justice PB Suresh Kumar granted the stay on a writ petition preferred by the Enforcement Directorate challenging the notification issued by the government in May last.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The probe was ordered to enquire whether the central agencies  made attempts to falsely implicate Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the gold smuggling case by coercing the accused.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The interim stay restrains the Judicial Commission headed by former Kerala High Court Judge, Justice V K Mohanan from exercising any power or taking any action conferred upon it by the Commission of Inquiry Act, 1952.The case relates to the smuggling of gold from UAE using diplomatic channels  through the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, which came to light last year.</span><br />
