Kerala HC to frame contempt charges against CPM leader

The Kerala High Court today framed charges against CPM leader M V Jayarajan in connection with a contempt of court case for his remarks against judges in the wake of a High Court order banning wayside public meetings across the state. The Court had initiated suo motto case against Jayarajan following his remarks against the judges, made at a public meeting in Kannur last year. A Division Bench comprising Justice A K Basheer and Justice P Q Barkat Ali read out the charges against the CPM leader. The trial proceedings of the case will begin on the 20th of next month.
